Shannon Carroll, MSN CRNP, is a highly dedicated nurse practitioner at the Sickle Cell Center for Adults at the prestigious Johns Hopkins Hospital. Since her graduation from nursing school in 2011, she has been a valued member of the Johns Hopkins Hospital and Health System, where she has honed her skills and gained extensive experience in the field of nursing.
Shannon began her career as a bedside nurse in Hematology/Oncology and worked in this role for several years before transitioning to the nurse practitioner role in 2019. As a nurse practitioner, she has split her time between the Sickle Cell Infusion Center and working as an inpatient provider on the Adult Hematology service. Her area of expertise and passion is caring for adults with sickle cell disease, particularly those with complex comorbidities such as transfusional iron overload and heart failure.
With her extensive experience, compassion, and dedication, Shannon Carroll is an invaluable asset to the Johns Hopkins Hospital and Health System, and an exceptional nurse practitioner who truly makes a difference in the lives of her patients.
When not providing care to her patients, Shannon enjoys spending time with her family at Rehoboth Beach, DE, and watching college football. She is a big fan of Pennsylvania State University and proudly supports them. GO PSU!
